The MELT method, created by Sue Hitzmann, is a simple neurofascial self-treatment, which "brings your body back to a more ideal state by directly enhancing body awareness, rehydrating connective tissue, and quieting the nervous system." When connective tissue, the tissue which surrounds/supports/connects/separates bones, muscles, joints, nerves, and organs, is dehydrated from the tension created within the body due to daily life, it can alter joint mobility, muscle timing, and/or the functioning of the body's organs and systems.
